What happens to what you send

This is an ordinary website, not a secure drop. It does not record your IP address, but the networks between you and this server can still see that you visited. If being linked to this submission would put you in danger, use SecureDrop over Tor instead.
Location data is removed from files you send, but only after it has been read for verification, and only from the copy we keep. The original on your phone still contains it.
Nothing is published automatically. Software flags things worth checking. A person decides what, if anything, is used — and nothing attributed to you is published unless you tick that box.
Do not put yourself at risk to gather anything. No report is worth that.
